Jerry Darkes will be visiting Fly and Shot Outfitters on Monday October 17th. Jerry will be featuring all the New 2006 Fly Fishing Products from Scott Fly Rods, Bauer Reels, Dr. Slick, Pacific Fly Group, Anglers Sport Group, Rio Fly Lines and many others. He will be at the shop at 5:00 pm to talk about all the new items and to let you put your hands on it. At 7:00 pm Jerry will give a presentation on Steelheading the Great Lakes. The season is almost upon us so get on in here and learn about this great fishery. This will be great for people who are new to the Steelheading phenomenon in the Great Lakes Tributaries and those of you who’ve been around the block once or twice.
Jerry Darkes is an Ohio-based Fly Fishing tackle sales rep and guide. In his four decades of fly fishing experience, he has spent nearly 25 years chasing Steelhead from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to the Tributaries of Lake Ontario.
Jerry has been featured in several books and video productions about Fly Fishing the
Great Lakes
. He has written numerous articles for a variety of publications, and has created a series of Guide Patterns and instructional Fly Tying DVDs focusing on Great Lakes Steelhead and other gamefish.
